Three parts of one tree, captured in a single cold-process batch
Ships when ready — on or about June 4th, 2026. Cold-process soap can't be rushed. Our bars cure on a rack in our workshop for roughly thirty days from the pour. We ship the moment they're ready — not a day before. Pre-order now to claim a bar from this year's harvest; you'll be charged at order and notified the day yours ships.
This bar contains three parts of one tree.
We harvest the papery outer bark — the layers a birch sheds naturally — and infuse it into organic olive oil for weeks before the soap pour. During the brief spring sap run, we tap the trees and collect the sap, which we use for the soap. As the new leaves come in through May, we harvest those and turn them into an extract on our homestead. All of it — bark, sap, leaves — goes into a single small-batch cold-process pour in Houston, Alaska.
Perfect For:
- Daily face and hand washing for people who want a bar that earns its place at the sink
- Gift-giving for the natural-skincare-minded — anyone who appreciates a story behind the goods
- Travel kits and guest bathrooms, when one nice bar beats five plastic bottles
- Sensitive skin that doesn't tolerate added fragrance or colorant
- Supporting small-batch wildcrafting on a working homestead
What Makes It Special
Most artisan soaps feature one highlight botanical. This one features three — and they're all the same tree, harvested from our own land within weeks of each other. The combined oils and butters form a conditioning base that's gentle on skin and creamy in lather. The birch bark infusion runs deep from weeks of slow extraction. The way we harvest and our integrate our sap technique gives the bar its signature warm color. The leaf extract carries the green, slightly mineral character of new spring growth.
Key Benefits
- Cold-process construction — gentle saponification, no synthetic surfactants
- Cleans without stripping the skin
- Superfat for added conditioning
- A creamy, low-foam lather that conditions while it cleans
- Naturally amber-colored from caramelized birch sap sugars — no added colorant
- Unscented and free of synthetic fragrance
- Less foam than commercial soaps — that's a feature, not a flaw. Lather doesn't equal clean.
How to Use
Wet hands or washcloth, work the bar to a soft, creamy lather, and wash. Rinse thoroughly. Between uses, set the bar on a draining dish — a wet bar dissolves faster. The lather is more sumptuous than foamy.
